We are pleased to announce that Allis Markham of Prey Taxidermy in Los Angeles has joined forces with Rest in Pieces to bring you the first Australian instalment of our international skills exchange program.

Have you ever wanted to learn bird taxidermy from one of the worlds best?

Now is your chance, as Allis was recently, she was named 'Third in the World' at the 2017 World Taxidermy Championships for her African Jacana.

Her list of local awards is also endless..... In fact, look at this photo of her cleaning up in the California Association Taxidermy show.

What an amazing experience to have the opportunity to work with the wonderful Allis and the Prey Taxidermy team. She had a fabulous teaching style and was extremely supportive every step of the way. I can not thank her enough for openly sharing her knowledge and skills with us all. We all ended up taking home impressive beautiful finished birds that were definitely to be proud of. Her wonderful support team, Paloma and Sophia were amazing and were always close by to help us along the way, and to make sure our needs were met. Also spending time with so many like minded creative souls was such a great experience. I could not recommend the whole experience enough. Thank you to Nat and the Rest in Pieces team for making this happen. It was an experience that will not be forgotten and I would thoroughly recommend this class, or any other class run through Rest in Pieces, to anyone and everyone that will listen. Well worth the trip down from Brisbane. Can't wait to do more classes with you in the future.

had a fabulous 2 days learning about recreating a Mynah bird to make it look so real & alive. The careful instructions & hands on assistance was invaluable & we had a lot of laughs in the process. The days were long but really 'flew' by. The food & the company was awesome. I can thoroughly recommend these classes if you are serious about this art form.
