Rest in Pieces - Baby Chick Class

Book Now (http://weteachme.com/l/ExNpxYkr)

Rest in Pieces invites you to attend a 1-day beginner baby Chick taxidermy workshop.

Throughout the workshop you will be taught skills in skinning, fleshing, preserving, and mounting of a complete specimen. You will also be guided through the traditional torso building technique of soft body wrapping and learn to preserve the feet with injections.

At the end of the workshop you will walk away with a gorgeous Baby Chick and be given the option to purchase a wooden base or a wooden base with a chick-sized dome to mount your specimen from the class on.

And of course we have a take home kit available to purchase so you can practice your newly acquired skills in your own time.

The RIP team will take care of everything for you. All necessary tools along with your specimen, apron, snacks, drinks and your choice of wine or beer will be provided on the day.

We have also added the option to pay the course fee in instalments to make life even easier! This feature is available at the checkout.

Would you like to book a take home kit?

Workshop + Kit contains the following:

- Frozen baby Chick

- Tools for skinning and mounting your specimen

- Products for cleaning, fleshing, and preservation

- Wooden base to mount specimen on (purchase an extra wooden base if you want one for your class specimen to sit on)

Excellent class, my chick looks pretty good for a first go

27 January 2019 • Rest in Pieces - Baby Chick Class

It was mixture of love, learning, inspiration, energising and exhausting (at the time). I surprised myself with how calm I was since usually I find taxidermy slightly stressful. Maybe I'm a bird person rather than mammal? This particularly class ran really well in spite of there being a film crew and needing to do several takes of some things. Nat and her lovely assistant Sofia did a great job of getting things going yet making sure everyone understood what was going on. I love my little chick, Harold!

Another amazing class from Nat and the RIP team! Class is truly enjoyable and even though it's my fifth class, there's still more to learn. Nat is a great teacher and made every step of the workshop fun and interesting. Thanks Nat!
