Allis Markham world renowned taxidermist and owner of Prey in Los Angeles is joining forces with Australia's Natalie Delaney-John the owner of Rest in Pieces.
Two very different ladies, with very different stories, from very different places & with very different points of view but, let me tell you the connection is real. Ying to the yang one might say!
Together they offer you a unique opportunity to gain insight into their journeys and also the past, present and future of taxidermy.
This 2 hour event will include:
- An opportunity to observe 30 minutes of live taxidermy practice (skinning, Mounting & Finishing work)
This demonstration will be delivered by Paloma of Prey and Lucia and Sofiya of Rest in Pieces
- A 1 hour talk on taxidermy
- A 30 minute Q&A
- Wine will be included throughout
If you have attended one of Nat's talks before then some small sections may be familiar to you (it is funny how you can't really change the facts about the past to suit a new talk haha) but there will be plenty of new, intriguing and hilarious things to discover.
Eftpos facilities will be available for additional items that might tickle your fancy on the night:
- DIY Revival Kits are $200 so that you can create your very own taxidermy mouse at home.
- Curiosities from our cabinet
- Tote bags to help reduce our plastic waste
- 30 minute live taxidermy stand
- 1 hour talk on the past, present and future of taxidermy
- 30 minute Q&A
- Wine will be provided throughout the evening
- A camera
- Eftpos card in case you want any goodies
Dress in layers in case the warehouse gets hot or cold
Adults with a curious mind.
