Firmly cementing itself as a household name in Perth, it is fair to say that the Rochelle Adonis Cakes + Confections brand has become a treasured Western Australian icon, well known for its incredible presentation and mouth-watering delicacies.
While I did come away from this class with a lot more knowledge and confidence in regards to making Puff pastry and croissants, it was actually a lecture, not a class. I was very disappointed not to have any hands on practice at all. I understand 3 hours is not enough time for learners to create both Puff and croissant dough, however it would have been nice to have had the opportunity to practice kneading and making at least one fold (perhaps this could be wrapped for us to continue at home), before watching the remaining steps. The chefs who ran the 'class' did a great job of answering lots of questions.
Excellent, great for kids and mums
It was ok but not even close to what I expected taking in consideration Rochelle Adonis reputation. The kids didn't learn from scratch, the recipe was faulty and did not take the full 90 minutes. The high tea served for the parents was lovely but it is not the point. There was a drawing competition with prizes but I would rather to have more time dedicated into the bread making. I was a bit disappointed with the experience.
