In this short course, we will discuss the common reasons that dogs may bark, and how to identify the cause and motivation for your dogs’ barking. Knowing why your dog is barking is the first step to implementing a successful intervention. We will discuss targeted solutions for each type of barking, that give you practical tips and exercises to take home and implement straight away.
We will also discuss common ‘quick fix’ solutions and why they are not considered to be an effective or humane solution.

Jade Currie is a qualified and experienced animal behaviour consultant and trainer with over eight years of experience in the field. She has worked in various roles, including leading a team of behavioural trainers and veterinarians at a large open-intake animal shelter, serving as a subject matter expert on animal behaviour and training for RSPCA staff and community education programs, and providing private behaviour consulting and training services for pet owners in specialist veterinary behaviour clinics.

If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
- A refund can be requested 7 days before class starts. Free of charge.
- A transfer can be requested 7 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
- A credit note can be requested 7 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
No changes will be allowed after these times.

Terms and Conditions - Face to Face courses
- Program activities are conducted by RSPCA Victoria Education Officers and staff. RSPCA Victoria reserves the right to alter activities or cease programs should staff and participant safety be compromised.
- For safety reasons, participants must wear appropriate clothing and closed-in shoes.
- RSPCA Victoria reserves the right to cancel the class should minimum numbers not be met. A full refund will apply in these circumstances.
