Knitting Socks that Rock

Learn to Knit a Basic Sock

Book Now (http://weteachme.com/l/gk5sntxr)

Description

Learn to knit a cuff down sock using the AddiCraSyTrio’s - a whole new experience in sock knitting - try it, I dare you!

You will leave the class with a completed mini sock.  The mini sock is knit using exactly the same skills you would use to knit an adult sock (only a smaller size!) - so you will then be able to transfer that knowledge and techniques to knit a pair of full size adult socks and the confidence to try more advanced patterns.

The cost of the class INCLUDES a sock kit, containing a set of AddiCraSyTrio needles, a ball of WYS Spinners yarn (there will an opportunity to swap yarn colours) and a new pattern designed just for the Trios (both mini and adult size socks).  A file will be available to download your comprehensive notes and tips for knitting socks that fit upon payment in full.

Students must be confident with the knit and purl stitch and basic pattern reading.

Everything's better with a friend, right? So why not bring a buddy and save $5 on the price of your full price tickets!  Class fees include the price of the kit and all food and beverages for the day, if you have any dietary restrictions, please let me know.  Tickets can be paid for with instalments over.

Book before the end of January to take advantage of our Early Bird specials. The class fee may be paid by instalments.

The class takes place in my home studio.  We have a couple of dogs (both small breeds, calm and settled and can be put outside if you'd prefer) and a rabbit, so if you are allergic please dose yourself with appropriate medication  prior to arriving.  I live in a quiet, little suburban Court, feel free to park along the sides of the street or on our lawn or nature strip, just please don't park across the neighbours driveway!!

A simple lunch (mini quiches, toasties or a roll and salads), afternoon tea (cake or bikkies) and bottomless coffee, tea, soft drink or water will be provided to help the creative process flow!  Weather permitting, you are welcome to take a stroll after lunch along the picturesque walking track that runs along the back of our house to reenergise!!

I am an experienced teacher with endless patience, my classes are held in a fun and supportive environment and there is no such thing as a silly question!

If you feel a little nervous meeting new people (and lets face it, most of us are), you are welcome to arrive 10-15min early, check out my studio, fondle the yarn and make yourself comfortable before the class starts.

Vendor since 2018

At Syd and Wynnie our aim is to share our passion of all things yarn and crafting. Knitting is a thousand year old craft that has influenced countless designers and makers throughout time.   Best of all, the basics of knitting are very simple and easy to master.  We like to encourage knitters, crocheters and yarn lovers in general to write their own stories with wool and other fine materials.

We aim to bring generations closer together and hope to offer a contemporary, inspiring and welcoming experience through every class or workshop we offer.

We believe in building long term customer relationships and truly enjoy being a part of our student’s creative journey offering guidance and encouragement along the way.

Leanne is an experienced teacher and has been knitting and crocheting for many years. Knitting is her love and teaching her passion.  In everything we do we try to represent a positive attitude toward the world, sharing a concern about it’s resources and the way we take care of the planet.
