Jessika Behnecke, Founder of ‘The Art Therapy Warrior’, creative art therapy for mind, body + soul. Jessika is passionate about the transformative healing abilities of Art Therapy – through the exploration of ‘people’s unique stories’. Art therapy is a way of communicating or expressing emotions without words – it’s a tool for self-discovery through an art making process – such as painting, drawing, writing, drama, dance, music, meditation, clay or collage. Through her practice, Jessika runs both individual and group classes that help people acquire a greater sense of purpose, understanding and meaning whilst exploring what creativity means to them. Art therapy’s power lies in its willingness to let people be themselves fully - possibly for the first time, to be witnessed and heard, to express their deepest unconscious thoughts creatively and then to give new meaning, insight or reframing on old stories that no longer have a positive charge. Art therapy’s magic lies in the knowingness that all of us are creative creatures naturally, who have a desire to be the best versions of ourselves and live lives that are a true expression of who we are, what we stand for and what we care about. Curious? Great…come and hear how Art Therapy could change your life – one drawing at a time…
