Fabulous! Danielle was an excellent tutor who coached me so well that I was able to practically complete my project while I was there. And this was in addition to the advice she gave me about a couple of other projects I asked her about. I'm so impressed with Danielle's expertise and generosity in sharing her expertise. I wholeheartedly recommend Thread Den!

Quick and fast booking for private lesson. The instructor was friendly and helpful. Due to the time constraint, I started drafting the torso blocks by tracing and adjusting from a standard pattern blocks instead of starting fresh from all the body measurements. However, I was satisfied with the final fitted pattern blocks for myself.

Hi Lay Lim,

Thank you for such a lovely review. We can't wait to see what you design next from your custom fitted bodice block.

I had a lesson with Danielle today - to help me sewing with stretch fabrics. (I couldn't make the dates for the classes on offer.) It was just want I needed to help me improve my sewing. I learned heaps in 2 hours. This included: best stitches to use and why; what to check on my machine to have a better outcome with stretch materials; better technique to hem; the need for steam when ironing seams; and a better way to make a waist band on some shorts. I also had help with decoding, laying out, cutting and starting my next sewing project. On top of that I also had a lovely afternoon! When I booked the class I signed up for a membership too (on the basis that a friend had recommended Thread Den) and I'm really pleased that I did. I look forward to coming back to the studio and wouldn't hesitate to book a private lesson again if there were things I needed help with.
