In both traditional and modernist cuisine, cooking transforms food ingredients chemically and physically. In this workshop, you will be introduced to the scientific and creative movement of molecular gastronomy and the powerful impact of scientific inquiry on cooking techniques. 

We will focus on some of the common ways that food texture or phase state can be manipulated in interesting ways and take you through the hands-on basic process and popular techniques in “molecular” cuisine, primarily altering appearance and texture of foods such as food foams, gel spheres and edible soils.

This workshop is great for avid cooks, or anyone interested to pick up on a new toolkit. Learn the tricks and treats of molecular gastronomy or just join the fun of modern cooking and surprise your friends at your next dinner party!

Cancellations, Refunds and Transfers

All courses are subject to minimum and maximum numbers of enrolments. If insufficient enrolments are received, the School may need to cancel classes. You will be notified no later the 48 hours prior to the scheduled commencement date, and a full refund will be available to you.

Cancellation: There are limited places in each class and late cancellations usually cannot be on-sold. Bookings cannot be transferred, if we receive less than 2 weeks notice.

The course was interesting, the presenter very knowledgeable with lots of hints and tips given. The class was a little unstructured in terms of completing assigned tasks one meeting then watching a demo the next. Need to refer to the recepies given to work out how some of the things were created

I was actually surprised by how much I was able to take on and learn in the time here. Walter was great at explaining all of the technique and highly approachable. Delicious food and no shortage.
