Description

Learn how to create resin paintings of a professional artist quality! This workshop will teach you how to properly mix resin and colours, and cover all the tips that will make resin painting easier and successful. Participants will explore the medium on canvas boards during the first part of the workshop, where they will experiment with four techniques. After morning tea, you will put what you've learnt into practice and create a final artwork on a stretched canvas. Rachel will also cover the health and safety issues and budget requirements when using resin in the studio or classroom.

Due to drying times of resin painting, participants will not be able to take their artwork home with them on the day. Participants are required to return to Zart on the following day after the workshop to pick up their work.

I enjoyed the class. I am a controlled artist but enjoyed the freedom and the unexpected result. Rachael explained the process very well and had time for everyone. I have never used resin before but would like to do another class just to make sure that I have retained all the process and learn more.. Everyone went home having felt happy with what they had achieved.

A fabulous class! Presented well, hands on learning and lots of experimentation before working on a final canvas. I was thrilled with the final result and ease of using the medium once given the instructions. I'll be purchasing my own resin supplies and look forward to more colourful, creative fun! Thanks Rachel and Zart!

Great class, well taught, but a bit rushed. Perhaps more instruction around limiting questions during the initial teaching time. Also needed more resin during the training phase as those who were running behind either couldn't get the colours they wanted and/or what was left had dried up and unusable. It's possible this was due to the unusually large class size (we were advised there were more people than usual). Much as I hate to see people miss out, I'd say the increased numbers had a negative impact on the overall quality of the (otherwise fantastic) class.
