Description

Believe it or not, welding offers all interested parties the ultimate in instant gratification.

No drilling, screwing, hammering, waiting for glue to dry… Just components, once separate and individual, now unified seamlessly into a (sometimes) beautiful whole!

What could be better?

Adding welding to your skill set will open a world of practical, crafty and artistic possibilities, limited only by your imagination, which – as you are the type of person who is reading this – is surely ambitiously wild and extensive…. Phew.

It’s also a lot of fun.

Mostly we will concentrate on mig welding, with a possibility of some arc welding depending on interest levels.

So come along and get amongst it. Everyone gets to take their creation home to be jealously eyeballed by friends, family and loved ones.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER

Richie Brownlee has been working with steel for the past ten or so years. Mostly architectural steel projects with local construction yoda Shane Smith and Shane’s company Ficus Constructions.

If you like to drink at bars or cafes or eat at restaurants in Melbourne, chances are you’ve been exposed to some of Richie’s work.

Although not a teacher by trade, Richie is excited about sharing his knowledge of welding with any interested parties and aside from the essential safety elements, will concentrate on the practical (fun) side of the craft.
