Spend an afternoon with Adrienne crafting a soft native grass basket for gifting or for your very own. All materials including poa grass, straw and raffia will be provided, Enjoy a mindful afternoon learning old and new contemporary weaving techniques, sip tea, eat lunch and enjoy the birdlife at Adrienne's home!
- Coiling and grass stitching techniques plus Wrapping and Blanket Stitch.
- A native grass woven basket a bush doll and the skills to go home and create it again. A mindful afternoon aswell as a swim in the River, afternoon tea and stories from the Top End , New friends and networks.
- Some afternoon tea, some bathers, and some stories to tell.
Comfortable clothing, walking shoes.

Adrienne Kneebone spent 12 years in the Northern Territory mastery the craft of weaving as well as working extensively with women from Western Arhnem land. She has a lot of skills, knowledge, and storytelling to share and finds enjoyment in the atmosphere of a weaving group. Her skills range from basket twining to native grass cobbling through to bush toy making.
She now resides by the Yarra river in East Warburton where she has adapted to weaving with the local plant material. Her classes are light-hearted and enjoyable as she draws the creative spirit from people.
Adrienne Kneebone requires 48 hours notice via email prior to the start of a class or event for a full refund or transfer. Refunds and transfers will not be processed if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the event commencing. We do not offer refunds for missed classes. There are no fees for refunds or transfers.
