Description

PLEASE NOTE: This is a 2 day workshop - Saturday from  10:00am-4:30pm, and the following Sunday from 2:30-5:00pm

Come along to learn mosaic techniques and use your imagination to make an unique mosaic.

You may wish to bring an item to decorate.  If you want you can bring broken crockery, old jewellery, cutlery, shells etc. (maybe from an op- shop) to add individuality to your work. Bring along any inspiration or design ideas you may have in mind.

Alternatively, just turn up! You can be guided by Sandra in the design of your piece and you do not need to bring anything with you.

Glass mosaic tiles, terracotta dishes, pots and wall plaques are available for purchase on the day. Sandra has $7 for a 30 x30 cm marmox boards suitable for  a mosaic wall hanging which can go outdoors.

The size of the piece you will be able to work on  will depend on how quickly you work and intricacy of design, but we would recommend you start with something no bigger than 30 to 40cm in diameter. Flat surfaces are easier to mosaic than vertical.

Cost includes glue and grout and some tools to share.

07 July 2018 • Mosaics Workshop

The mosaic course was very satisfying. Sandra enthusiastically explained the steps to mosaic, and it was great to be able to create your own design, and have it completed on the weekend workshop. There is a lot more to it, and every step we were encouraged by Sandra with all her passion for mosaic. The Saturday is a very FULL workshop day of creating your mosaic. Thanks Sandra for sharing your skills.
