Gânache Chocolate offers a unique European chocolate experience for those looking for that something special in Melbourne.

Both stores boast stunning displays of beautifully handcrafted pralines made with the finest couverture chocolate as well as an extensive product range including decadent chocolate bars, gift wrapped chocolate figures and speciality hot chocolate.

The Gânache Patisserie section showcases Arno’s superb macarons and delicious French style patisserie.

All chocolates and patisserie are created with passion by Master Chocolatier Arno Backes and his team of Pastry chefs and Chocolatiers, in the kitchens above the chocolate lounge in South Yarra.

Payment Policy

Classes at Gânache frequently become fully booked, so we require full payment to be made at the time of booking to secure your place. Payment can be made conveniently online with credit card or at the store in cash, EFT or credit card or even via credit card over the phone. Unfortunately, we can't hold places without payment

On occasion, Gânache is forced to cancel a class due to low booking numbers. We really don't like to do this as we love to teach and play with chocolate, but if we don't cover our costs we can't run the class. In instances where Gânache must cancel a class, enrolled participants will be notified 24 hours prior to the scheduled class and will be rebooked into the next available class, or a refund as required.

Fun and engaging class. Arno is very passionate about chocolate and his energy is infectious. We prepared three different types of truffles to take home, they were all delicious. While the class has some hands-on elements, some steps were done by the teachers including measuring and mixing the ganache, and also tempering the chocolate. The class was a good foundation to making chocolate however the experience could have been enhanced with more hands-on elements for the participants. Overall an enjoyable class.
