Gânache Chocolate offers a unique European chocolate experience for those looking for that something special in Melbourne.
Both stores boast stunning displays of beautifully handcrafted pralines made with the finest couverture chocolate as well as an extensive product range including decadent chocolate bars, gift wrapped chocolate figures and speciality hot chocolate.
The Gânache Patisserie section showcases Arno’s superb macarons and delicious French style patisserie.
All chocolates and patisserie are created with passion by Master Chocolatier Arno Backes and his team of Pastry chefs and Chocolatiers, in the kitchens above the chocolate lounge in South Yarra.
Classes at Gânache frequently become fully booked, so we require full payment to be made at the time of booking to secure your place. Payment can be made conveniently online with credit card or at the store in cash, EFT or credit card or even via credit card over the phone. Unfortunately, we can't hold places without payment
On occasion, Gânache is forced to cancel a class due to low booking numbers. We really don't like to do this as we love to teach and play with chocolate, but if we don't cover our costs we can't run the class. In instances where Gânache must cancel a class, enrolled participants will be notified 24 hours prior to the scheduled class and will be rebooked into the next available class, or a refund as required.
The class was a great experience. We made delicious macarons and took home the ones we didn't eat.
I learnt how to make perfect macaroons. How to avoid mistakes that compromise their quality. What determines a perfect macaron. All the while being entertained by Arnon and his life and experience stories. Asking him questions and tips. It was a fantastic couple of hours!!
Absolutely fantastic! Not only did we get to make delicious salted caramel 3 ways, but we also got to take it all home, including the recipes. Learning from a Master Chocolatier, Arno, was incredible. I can highly recommend this class!
