Join Craig to learn the basics of Origami. Participants will follow the paper crane pattern step by step. This will teach you the basics of reading patterns in origami and the basic folds. You will then get the opportunity to work through other origami patterns and apply your new skill.


Walk away with your paper crane, some others you have made and some patterns to try at home.
Each participant receives a small pack of origami paper and origami patterns via PDF after the class.

All materials included.  

Suitable for: Participants 12+.  Participants 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note, the number of tickets that you can choose from to purchase reflects the number of total tickets still available, if you cannot select multiple tickets it means there is only 1 ticket/space left in this workshop.

The Wise Foundation is proud to present Hands On Brisbane.

This programme of craft workshops, demonstrations and Q&A sessions provides a fantastic opportunity for people to learn new skills, showcase local talent and add extra creativity to Brisbane.

Workshops we have had and will continue to facilitate are; Rag Rugs, Block Printing, Screen Printing, Terrariums, Stamp Carving, Fabric Design, Lace, Embroidery, Crochet, Shrinky Dinks, Polymer Clay, Sterling Silver, Paper Flowers, Resin, Origami, Brass Etching, Brooch Making Techniques, Kokedama, Journal Making, Weaving.

These workshops are conducted by some of Brisbane’s finest artisans to give you a hands on approach to learning your new skill. With many classes also providing the materials, all you need to do is turn up and start creating!

Enclosed Footwear is required by participants at every workshop. Hands On Brisbane reserves the right to refuse entry to a workshop if the attendee is not wearing suitable attire.

Participants are required to sign a waiver at the workshop they attend. Participants are to follow instructions, safety precautions and advice when given.

Participants are required to arrive on time.  Our workshops will start on time.  If you are not attending on the day please contact Hands On Brisbane using the contact information in the mail out that is sent a few days before the event.  If you are unable to attend on the day please pass your ticket on to a friend.  As we prepare in advance for the number of attendees we are unable to offer you a refund.

Craig's origami class was excellent. He was incredibly patient in his manner and very generous in sharing his expertise and knowledge. The class was well structured and I really appreciated the extra resources to take home to continue to practice.
