What you will learn

What you will get
- How to spin silk and other fibres. The different types of silk and how to cultivaate your own silkworms
What to bring
- A working spinning wheel with 3 x bobbin (1 x bobbin with some spun wool single).
- Lazy Kate & niddy noddy and hand carders if you have them (all available for sale from the Guild).
- Any fibres you wish to blend with & any silk you have at home. Additional fibres will be available to purchase on the day.
What to wear
Comfortable casual clothes.

The Guild's aim is to bring together those who practise handweaving, spinning and allied crafts and to help and encourage them to increase their knowledge, understanding and skills by discussion, demonstration, exhibition, teaching and the provision of quality resource materials.
Our Guild rooms house an excellent library and craft supply, sell members work and host a wonderful range of interest groups, classes and workshops.
We have members and affiliated groups throughout the state.
