French meadow baguette platter workshop - Level 2

French meadow baguette platter workshop - Level 2

Make this platter - how fabulous!

Over 10 people have attended this class

Description

Experience the thrill of making this unique and hugely popular "French Meadow" design, perfect to serve a french baguette - or whatever you like!

The 3 hours gives you time to brush up your glass cutting skills and learn to make your own long long channel platter.

Your platter will be 15cms x 50cms.

If you finish early you can also create other sizes if you prefer, (see below), of course,  you'll need to pay me directly if you'd like to create an alternate size to the normal 15cms x 50cms.

Please let me know at least 7 days before the Workshop which alternative you want, as I need to make sure I have the correct size kilnshelf and 5mm thick base glass in stock for you.

See below some other sizes you can consider for your "French Meadow" design.

These prices are correct as at 1/1/22 and are only for the alternative French Meadow designs and don't apply to any other workshops as this is the only workshop in which we use 5mm specialty clear glass.

  • 4 X French Meadow Coasters 9cm x 9cm each - $99
  • 20cm x 20cm plate - $99.00
  • 20cm x 35cm platter - $155.00
  • 25cm x 25cm bowl - $145.00
  • Giant Fruit Platter 33cms x 44cms $300.00

Please let me know when you book in, if you'd like me to precut the base for something else.  I need to make sure that I have the base glass and the correct size kiln shelf available for you.

I can also devise a time and price for you to make multiple items if you would like to, eg a plate, a platter and a bowl. Your own personalised "French Meadow" collection.  Just message me to discuss.

Once again, you'll get to choose from the large selection of transparent and opaque colours, stringers, noodles, frit and part-sheets that I have at the studio at the time of your workshop! If you want to use a particular glass colour, please ring me or visit the studio to check I have it in stock.

You'll be surprised at how clever you are at making something wonderful!

Please wear clothes that includes some kind of sleeve (not a singlet top).  Please wear closed toe shoes. (No thongs, no sandals that expose your toes.)   You need to be able to stand securely on both feet and climb one flight of stairs to the workshop.  We adhere to the Covid19 rules of the day.  If you have been unwell call me and we'll reschedule your class.  Of course, there's zero cost for rescheduling.

If you'd like to bring refreshments, alcohol or nibbles to this workshop - that'll be fine, assuming you are over 18 years of age.

You'll be photographed during this workshop, please let me know if you don't want this to happen.

Once the class is over and the clean up is done, all you need to do is wait for an email from me showing the progress of your mini masterpieces and I'll let you know when they are ready to be picked up, usually about 14 days after your workshop.

Your creations will be kept here at the studio for 3 months after the workshop, they'll be donated to charity after that time.

COVID NOTICE;

We adhere to the Covid19 rules of the day.  If you have been unwell, get well first, and then we'll reschedule your workshop at a time to suit you.

I’m like a kid in a lolly shop.  I am endlessly impressed and inspired – by the work of others, by colours and textures, by everything around me, man-made and natural!

There’s so much to see, to interpret into glass!  I love it all. I love sharing it with everyone – that’s why I run workshops – it makes me happy and its my hope that some of this joy spills over to you.

Ultimately, I am sharing love. The love of life the joy of playing in my studio. Share it with me.
