Description

This workshop will focus on learning to draw from the model confidently and expressively. Beginning the morning session with short poses, I will show you how to look for simple movement through the pose, and how to see the main forms of the figure to ‘map’ out your drawing. 

We will work up to longer poses, and use lighting to work with light and shadow to create dynamic and convincing form.


Materials

Willow charcoal, medium to thick

Charcoal pencil

Kneadable eraser. 

Coloured pastels if you wish to work with them, but not essential.

Bulky news paper supplied or you can bring your own.

Ivanhoe Studio School is based in Linda Robertson’s home studio in Ivanhoe. We run classes in life drawing, general drawing and printmaking.

Linda Robertson has worked with the figure in pastel and charcoal for many years, and teaches life drawing to adults and senior school students. Her work has been influenced by drawings from the Italian Renaissance, by Edgar Degas, and by contemporary Australian artist Godwin Bradbeer. Linda's work is held in the collections of the Bass Coast Shire, the City of Bright, and Strathcona Girls School, and has been widely exhibited across eastern Australia, and in London.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Linda Robertson requires 48 hours notice via email prior to the start of a class or event for a full refund or transfer.  Refunds and transfers will not be processed if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the event commencing. We do not offer refunds for missed classes. There are no fees for refunds or transfers. For cancellations prior to the 48 hour cut off, email Linda Robertson to organise a refund or transfer

Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Linda Robertson or organised by Linda Robertson must agree to these terms and conditions.

1.) LIABILITY WAIVER

I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Linda Robertson.

2.) PHOTO & VIDEO

I agree to give Linda Robertson unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Linda Robertson classes and events or on Linda Robertson's premises. (For use of Linda Robertson marketing materials).

3.) REFUNDS

Linda Robertson requires 48 hours notice in writing prior to the class for a full refund or transfer. 

4.) CANCELLATIONS

In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund or credit.
