If you want to go beyond the superficial to understand the materials you’re working with then this is the course for you. It provides information in an engaging fashion by people steeped in the knowledge of their product, peppered with humor and historical anecdotes you cannot find on Wikipedia. It was of enormous interest to me - and you get down and dirty with your hands as well! Very worthwhile.

If you are studying oil painting whether it be at Uni, tafe or as a hobby this materials workshop provides invaluable information to progress your practice. Informative and in-depth students are exposed to a host of technical information and provided the opportunity to experience various mediums. The discussion on Hazardous, mid hazardous and low hazardous solvents prompted me to change the product I had previously been using. A highly recommended and rewarding course!!
