Throughout the day you will learn how to skin and preserve your little rat, as well as how to mount him into a beautiful but very greedy cheese fiend. Everything will be supplied on the day including your rat, all the necessary tools, an apron, a glass dome, snacks, lunch, great company, and your choice of wine, beer or soft drink which will be provided throughout.

Instalment Billing is available at the workshop checkout!

No previous taxidermy experience is necessary.

Would you like to book a take home kit for $100?

Workshop + kit contains the following:

- Frozen rat

- Tools for skinning and mounting your specimen

- Products for preservation

- List of instructions used on the day

Please purchase an extra dome if you would like one for your take home kit.

03 March 2020 • Rest in Pieces Taxidermy Workshop

The workshop was amazing, informative, overwhelming and bloody exhausting - I loved it! It has seriously whet my appetite for taxidermy, while bringing home just how much I have to learn. Both Nat and Karen have the patience of saints. Nat is an excellent teacher and Karen the perfect workshop mum - providing refreshments and support with grace :) It was a great day in the company of fellow weirdos! Definitely worth the trip up from Tassie. I can't wait until my next workshop adventure. In the meantime I'm off the pet food shop to stock up on frozen rats....

01 March 2020 • Rest in Pieces Taxidermy Workshop

This was my second Rest In Pieces workshop and again I had a simply spectacular time! The taxidermy itself was a juicy challenge, but Nat's instruction was infallible, and the class' thirst to learn was tangible. A brilliant day, with a brilliant feed (including my dietary requirements catered to!) and brilliant company. I will be back and back again for sure. Thank you Nat, and of course Karen too!

01 March 2020 • Rest in Pieces Taxidermy Workshop

The absolute best decision I have made all year. This workshop covered every step of beginner taxidermy, from dead specimen right up to the moment the glass dome covers the finished product. Nat even discussed the legalities of owning different animal remains and answered questions. Each one of us left the class with our finished rats ready to be proudly displayed, but moreso, a new set of skills that we can apply to future projects. The atmosphere is educational, but also very relaxed and comfortable. It was almost a family atmosphere, despite only just meeting these people. Truly the best learning environment I have experienced in my life. I could not speak more highly of Nat and her team! It has barely been 24 hours and I have already reccomend this workshop to friends who share my fascination with taxidermy and skill building. Already booked in to come again and make a little friend for my rat. If you're thinking about doing a workshop by Rest in Pieces, do it! It is everything you could want it to be and more!!
