Your tutor will explain the basics of working with fusible glass, the techniques you can use to embellish and decorate the glass and your options for firing and slumping your pieces.

You will learn how shape glass bases using a variety of tools then you will be able to decorate them with glass paints, powders, stringers, noodles, as well as glass pieces and beads.  Your tutor will also introduce you to dichroic glass, which has a reflective metal coating on one side which creates beautiful effects once fired.

You will make and decorate a variety of fused glass pieces which once fired into glass cabochons can be transformed into beautiful jewellery perfect to adorn yourself or to give as gifts.

The glass cabochons you create can be used to create pendants, rings, earrings, cufflinks or hair clips after firing. Pieces will be fired after completion of the class, the tutor will attach any chosen findings and collection of completed pieces will be arranged for the following week.

All tools and materials are included in this class.
