What is Karma Yoga?


For me, yoga is taking care of myself.


And by sharing what I know, I can help teach others to take care of themselves also.


Yoga is union.... of the mind, body, and soul...


To understand yoga, you have to experience it. You can’t learn about it by reading about it... why don’t you give it a try?


A little bit about me...


I am passionate about life and believe that it should be fun. I enjoy yoga because it makes me feel great. I do my best to create a space where people feel welcome and want to return. I love people and have a genuine interest and care for others.


I began yoga 12 years ago, as a form of exercise. I found that being up and out early in the mornings was a positive way to begin my day. When my yoga teacher chanted three Oms, these vibrations sent shivers through me and I felt a deep connection... I was hooked...


Many people think yoga will be fun and easy. After my first class, I found it wasn’t as easy as I imagined, the great benefit was the sense of peace and joy I found.


What to Expect:


I completed my yoga teacher training in January 2018 and want to bring what I have learned to others. Yoga has helped me grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires me to live each moment more mindfully


Is this class for You?


*As a sufferer of sciatica myself (since 2015), I am aware of working at my own pace and I will encourage students to move into poses that they feel comfortable in and importantly, to listen to their bodies. Everyone's body is different and every day is different. I encourage students to focus on: no-one else but themselves, only this one moment and this movement.


*I want to help others thrive in life by nurturing body, mind, and soul with yoga. My hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.”


*If you are trying to let go of the past and stop worrying about the future. We will be learning to live consciously, in the now, focusing on only "this" moment and setting positive intentions.


Describe the type of yoga taught:


*Vinyasa & Hatha Yoga (or flow & holding poses)


*Classes will begin and end with a short meditation


*In my classes, I strive to bring a spirit of playfulness, positivity and a dose of inspiration.

The VRI is a project of Traralgon Neighbourhood Learning House Inc in partnership with Reactivate Latrobe Valley Ltd. 

We offer a range of classes, workshops and activities including a growing community garden, artist community gallery - Alt_Art and technical support Fridays - LV Digital Shed. A work for the dole program runs Monday - Friday at the hall and volunteers are welcome to join us in making, sharing and connecting through art, gardening, building, cleaning, cooking and using technology. If you have a great idea for a workshop you would like to run get in touch with us - info@thevri.com.au.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Our tutors and teachers purchase materials and prepare based on your booking. So please check your calendar before you make a booking to ensure you are able to attend. 


We know that sometimes things happen and if you are unable to make a class and give us plenty of notice, we may be able to fill that spot and in that instance give you a refund or transfer you to a future class. If we don't fill the booking, we won't be able to offer a refund. You can notify us by emailing info@thevri.com.au. Please include your name and the name of the class you have booked into and we will respond to you as soon as possible. 


Refunds can not be given for non attendance on the day.

Terms & Conditions

The VRI will notify participants of cancellation of classes at the earliest convenience via the phone number and email provided. If for any reason we need to cancel a class you will be refunded your payment. 

The office hours for The VRI are Monday to Friday from 9am - 5pm.

Jane is one of the most beautiful person, I've ever met! I like her class, as it is peaceful, and she is very easy to understand while doing the moves. Very friendly, and a very calm atmosphere while doing this class. Due to health, I was not able to attend by two class now, but will continue to try. How good is that?
