Italian Cooking with Maria
Most of you have had risotto and there are many ways to make it. I will be showing you the two classic risotto recipes, the first with chicken and mushroom and the other with vegetables. This is a wonderful meal for a family very healthy and easy to make.
For desert we will be making a simple sweet which comes from my town. This sweet is still a part of my culture and town today. In sharing it I am inviting you into my family and my life that began in a small village which I try and revisit each year. The simplicity and goodness of this sweet is about the poverty that was faced and the little pleasures that my ancestors tried to carve out of what was a very challenging way of life over one hundred years ago.
Recipes will be emailed to you after you book in. Stories provided gratis!
Come and learn how to cook the way nonna (my mum) taught me. I can guarantee that you will have a hands-on experience.
There will be stories, laughs and eating. You can bring a friend or maybe a member or the
family. Children are welcome, they love to get their hands dirty. Each class offers one
savoury dish and one desert. All ingredients provided.
You bring: and apron, containers for any leftover food and bring a pasta machine if you have
one and would like to learn how to use it.
