Unless you have been living under a rock, or perhaps in Antarctica over the last year or so, you will know by now, that colouring-in is G-O-O-D for you! Shown to reduce stress and anxiety, Clinical Psychologists are prescribing art therapy (and have done so for many years) as a way to decrease symptoms of physical and emotional distress in their patients. But there are more benefits to adult colouring-in than first meets the eye. Colouring-in is providing opportunities for us to become more social (and not in a FB or IG kind of way). This mindful activity does not require a significant amount of concentration, making it the perfect project to do with friends or family, whilst enjoying a glass of wine and having a free flowing conversation about the important things in life (like the latest restaurant we have eaten at / who wore it best / and of course where has the best cawfee).
The Windsor Workshop would like to offer this as a regular workshop - think of us contributing to your mental health - using some of Melbourne’s most well known, and highly regarded Illustrators. On the last Thursday of each month, you can come along and colour in a beautiful illustration created by one of the following artists:-
- Annie Davidson
- Sarah Hankinson
- Andrew Archer
- Stuart Holmes
- Natalie Martin
- and many more to be announced…
A portion of each ticket sold will be donated to a cause nominated by the Artist, hence the name “Colour For A Cause”. So it doesn’t take a genius to figure out, that this is the cheapest form of therapy one can find! Join us and feel resplendant that you are not only contributing to your own cause, but someone less fortunate’s too.
The Windsor Workshop is located on level 1 of 115 Chapel Street, Windsor. Windsor train station is a 4 minute walk, or jump off at Duke Street stop on Tram 78. All day parking is available behind Paint Spot, Windsor (opposite the station) for around $7/day.
Our workshops are suitable for persons 16 years or older.
Terms and Conditions/ Cancellations
The Windsor Workshop reserves the right to cancel any scheduled workshop. The reasons this may occur are (a) if a workshop does not reach the minimum number of students or (b) an Artist or Workshop Facilitator falls ill. In the unfortunate circumstance of a workshop being cancelled, students will be notified at least 2 days before the commencement of the workshop and a credit note will be issued to be used at a later date. Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds if the class is cancelled.
If you are unable to attend your workshop, please let us know within four days of your workshop and we will give you a credit note to be used at a later date, or transfers are available upon request. No credit notes will be issued for cancellations when less than four working days' notice is given.
