Introduction to Alcohol Ink Abstracts
Description
Immerse yourself into the whimsical world of alcohol inks.
Enjoy 3 hours learning everything you need to know to create beautiful, on trend artworks for your home.
Alcohol inks are fast-drying, highly pigmented, alcohol-based inks that can be used on any hard, non-porous surface including glass, metal, plastic, ceramic, stone, leather and polymer clay.
Brisbane-based artist Cassie Sandison of Art By Aquarius will teach you various techniques of fluid painting on yupo paper, we will also discuss safety aspects, and how to seal your artworks to stop them from fading over time. You will learn how to give up control and create multiple gorgeous artworks both on yupo paper and tile.
Cassie specialises in creating abstract and functional artworks using alcohol inks and resin. A scientist by trade and creative by nature, Art by Aquarius is the ultimate combination of art and science.
In this workshop we will be using 100% isopropyl alcohol, this class is not suitable for pregnant women and children under 18 years of age.
Alcohol ink can be fumy to work with, we have picked a well-ventilated area to work in and will give you plenty of fresh air breaks, however if you are sensitive to smells we suggest bringing a ventilator.
