Are you in the creative industry and the idea of keeping your accounts sends you crazy? Whether you are creating as a hobby or as a business, you need to keep track of your income and expenses. How do you do this?
Melissa Gijsbers, an author who has worked as a bookkeeper as part of her day job as well as managed her own accounts for over 20 years, will walk you through the basics of keeping track of your income and expenses.
The workshop will look at invoicing, recording cash sales, keeping track of expenses, how to keep everything in order, and go through the meaning of things like ABN, profit and loss reports, and more.
Get everything set up so you will have everything reading for tax time.

Melissa is an author and booklover. She believes that everyone has an inner bookwork and that reading and writing should be fun at every age. She also sees the mental health benefits in creative writing. She is on a mission to share this passion in memorable workshops and seminars.
Your Teacher
Melissa Gijsbers is an author, booklover and speaker. She started her first business in 2002, before that, she learned how to keep the accounts for her husbands business. She has worked doing accounts for employers as well as in her own business, and knows how to use multiple accounts software. She set up this workshop after answering questions in author groups around managing accounts.
Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
You may cancel anytime before class starts and claim a full refund or transfer or credit note.

Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Melissa Gijsbers or organised by Melissa Gijsbers must agree to these terms and conditions.
1.) LIABILITY WAIVER
I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Melissa Gijsbers
2.) PHOTO & VIDEO
I agree to give Melissa Gijsbers unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Melissa Gijsbers classes and events or on Melissa Gijsbers premises. (For use of Melissa Gijsbers marketing materials).
3.) REFUNDS
Melissa Gijsbers requires 48 hours notice in writing prior to the class commencing for a refund, transfer or credit.
4.) CANCELLATIONS
In the event that a class is cancelled by Melissa Gijsbers, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund, transfer or credit.
