About Kangi Donaldson from Black Soda Products

From a young age I have always loved learning how to make things – whether it be knitting a bag, crocheting a beanie, sewing a table cloth, making food from scratch or soap making.

I wanted to learn how to make my own soap after I read an article on the ingredients that make up a bar of soap, pretty much all yucky chemicals!  I then began researching different methods of soap making as I wanted to use a natural product on my skin and found that I loved the process of making soap along the way.  I now have joined forces with my daughter Amelia who makes and creates soy candles so our Black Soda products range is slowly growing.

The business name Black Soda is named after my two dogs Nero (meaning Black) and my current dog Soda.
