WARNING: This is not your average illustration class!
Each month we will bring you a tattoo artist at the height of their game to learn from.
This month is Aidan Mckenzie aka Sprinkles. He will guide you through different genres of tattoo illustration, teaching you the tricks of the trade for anyone wanting to improve their drawing or just interested in tattoo art.
We will cover some if not all of the following. But you will walk away with your own illustration ready to be inked!
“Sprinkles” is a self taught Tattoo and Contemporary Artist based in Sydney.
Hailing from humble Palmerston North New Zealand, with a well rooted sense of Cook Island, Maori and Chinese heritage “Sprinkles” is now earning a well respected name in his Sydney base.
With a strong thirst for progression and an ever evolving style, Sprinks’ works strive to portray the many different faces we can find within ourselves.
Based on a foundation of family and friendship, his “Sprinkle Stacks” and mystical creations ride an evolved relationship with tattoo machines, aerosol cans, brushes, intricate linework and symmetry.
Unafraid of a subtle nod to the darker side of imagery, skulls, fantastical animals, majestic beings and beautiful women commonly compose Sprinks’ artistic vocabulary.
Currently working from LITTLE TOKYO TEMPLE OF ART “Sprinkles” has been Tattooing full time for three years and specialises in working with black ink.
