About Lisa Guy

I have been creating and making with my hands for over 30 years, it is relaxing, satisfying and a source of great joy and constant learning. Craft has mostly been a hobby and creative outlet while I have been married, working and raising a family but now it is my full time passion! Many years of learning through workshops and trying crafts that interested me have led me to know that being creative and expressing that through what I make is what makes me happy. It is wonderful to use natural textiles to make original, one of a kind pieces with my hands. Currently my focus is on Basket Weaving, Loom Weaving and Macrame. I teach workshops in different venues around Brisbane and can also come to your home or a venue where you can have your own workshop with a group of friends. Excitingly, I took part in my first market in November and was thrilled that my pieces were purchased and found a home with people that appreciated and loved them as I did.

Lisa effectively taught everyone in the workshop the technique and skills needed to make a small basket. I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop, the workshop space and was impressed with the resources and tuition provided.
