Description

Learn all about making your very own leather bound journal with bookbinding  guru Michelle Lackenby from Paperazzi Design studio, who will guide you through the step-by-step method and share the tips and tricks to create your own beautiful handmade leather journal with a long stitch spine.

All materials provided on the day plus notes for you to continue your bookbinding practice at home.

This workshop will cover the techniques behind creating your very own Leather bound journal – complete with long stitch spine and beautiful papers! This bookbinding technique  creates visual diaries, portfolios, photo albums – the list is endless!

No experience necessary and all materials will be provided!

About Mitch Lackenby

Michelle (Mitch) Lackenby is qualified and lectures in the areas of Advertising, Graphic Design/Art and Photography and has always been obsessed with pushing the boundaries of art and design within the realm of paper and bookbinding. She has over 20 years industry experience in creative fields which lead to the opening of her own business specialising in artist services, design and workshops.

As the creative Director of Paperazzi Design studio, Mitch oversees the branding, photo shoots, art/design direction for the business. Mitch is also the resident Paper Artist for Paperazzi Design Studio where she collaborates with other artists and is currently working on the prototypes for their new product range.

Cancelation & Refund Policy

REFUNDS

Work-Shop requires 72 hours notice in writing prior to the class for a full refund. If you miss this window, earn some extra karma points and give your ticket to one of your buddies. The tickets are fully transferable. Email learn@work-shop.com.au to organise a refund.

CANCELLATIONS

We’ll do our darndest to run all scheduled classes, however, let’s face it… sometimes shit happens! Most of our classes must have a minimum of 5 participants before we can put them on. In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via email and entitled to a full refund or credit.

Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Work-Shop or organised by Work-Shop must agree to these terms and conditions.

1.) LIABILITY WAIVER

  •  Any damage, loss or theft incurred to personal property property brought into Work-Shop’s premises.
  • Any physical injuries sustained as a result of participating in any class or event organised by Work-Shop.

I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Work-Shop.


2.) PHOTO & VIDEO

I agree to give Work-Shop unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Work-Shop classes and events or on Work-Shop’s premises. (Don’t worry, we’ll only these use to show others how much of a rad time you’re having through social media, newsletters, blogs, website and general Work-Shop promo material)

Last weekend I did the 'Make a leather journal by hand' and I loved it. The class and also the people who participated and worked there, were few of the things that made my experience great. The atmosphere was relaxed, and I loved how there were a variety of materials to chose from to make the journal. 👌🏼top notch.
