Description

Come spend an afternoon learning the art of henna! You'll learn how to make and apply henna paste, and create beautiful designs with a dark long-lasting stain. Become familiar with what henna is, where it comes from, and how it has been used through various regions throughout the world. You will get your own henna cone, and be learn to apply it on yourself and a partner!

We will begin by learning about what henna is and where the plant grows. We will then mix a bowl of fresh henna paste, using all natural and organic ingredients. Following a demonstration on how to use a henna cone, and practising designs on paper, we will have a go on a partner or ourselves. We will talk about the differences between some of the henna uses and styles from Judaism, Morocco and India.

At the end we will go through after care of our new designs.

You don’t need to have any experience, just a desire to learn and try out this beautiful craft.

ABOUT ELLA RUBY

Ella Ruby is an artist and musician, with a passion for creative expression and sharing it with others. She loves to paint, make henna and write music. Ella learnt to do henna during her gypsy travels through the bustling streets of Delhi. Over the past five years she has enjoyed adorning the feet and hands of fellow henna lovers at markets across Melbourne and South America. Ella enjoys studying designs from various regions around the globe, especially Jewish traditions which bring her closer to her roots. Cancelation & Refund Policy

REFUNDS

Work-Shop requires 72 hours notice in writing prior to the class for a full refund. If you miss this window, earn some extra karma points and give your ticket to one of your buddies. The tickets are fully transferable. Email learn@work-shop.com.au to organise a refund.

CANCELLATIONS

We’ll do our darndest to run all scheduled classes, however, let’s face it… sometimes shit happens! Most of our classes must have a minimum of 5 participants before we can put them on. In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via email and entitled to a full refund or credit.

Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Work-Shop or organised by Work-Shop must agree to these terms and conditions.

1.) LIABILITY WAIVER

  •  Any damage, loss or theft incurred to personal property property brought into Work-Shop’s premises.
  • Any physical injuries sustained as a result of participating in any class or event organised by Work-Shop.

I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Work-Shop.


2.) PHOTO & VIDEO

I agree to give Work-Shop unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Work-Shop classes and events or on Work-Shop’s premises. (Don’t worry, we’ll only these use to show others how much of a rad time you’re having through social media, newsletters, blogs, website and general Work-Shop promo material)
