Learn to embrace permanence and love mistakes with Fuzeillear as she pulls you down the rabbit hole of biro beards. In this session Claire will take you through her biro drawing techniques and fill your quiver with a number of different hair and beard drawing styles.
Claire will start with biro drawing and shading techniques and then cover a few different drawing and beard styles. Students will learn how to control a biro, how to build up texture and depth, and how to turn mistakes into gold!
Join us and discover how fun, therapeutic and mind bending drawing beards can be!
Claire Matthews uses ballpoint pen on paper to fashion intricate imagery of gents, dames and bearded ladies. Under the name Fuzeillear, Claire has completed collaborations with streetwear label Volcom and Tracks magazine, as well as painting or pasting the occasional mural at cafes. Last year, you may have stumbled upon Claire’s work at I Used To Skate Once exhibition or at the Analogue Digital creative conference. Drawing from photographs taped in place together, her comical drawings are highly detailed, and technically superb. The Sunshine Coast-based artist is making her mark in the mural art realm as well as creating unique portraits. Check out her stuff here.
