This life drawing class will have you feeling more confident and more practiced in drawing the human form.
This relaxed and fun life drawing class caters for beginners as well as more experienced artists, you will learn various techniques required to draw from life.
Drawing from a live model, the class will feature a number of exercises and is broken into two parts, the first hour focusing on quick sketches and warm ups, starting with 30 second, 2 minute and 5 minute poses. After a quick break we will move onto 10 and 15 minute poses where students can practice techniques and spend more time on finished works.
Learn how to draw the human form, and you will be able to learn how to draw just about anything!
ABOUT VIVIAN MARTIN
Vivian Martin, is a south Lismore-based artist. A photographer and former film maker and animator, he has lectured at the City Art Institute in Sydney, and at Kogarah and Wollongong TAFEs. Viv taught budding art students sculpture,‘electromedia’, composition and drawing over two decades, before moving to the Northern Rivers in 2008.
Viv has had an enormously varied career which has included work as the communications manager for the Murray Darling Basin Commission, a stint in commercial television, web design, book illustration, ceramics, sculpture and painting.
He is a past president of Craft ACT and has never stopped creating art in many forms and techniques wherever he has lived and worked.
His great passion is humanity and while he says he likes to provoke people to “construct their own narrative” some of his work has a distinctly political bent.

We’ll do our darndest to run all scheduled classes, however, let’s face it… sometimes shit happens! Most of our classes must have a minimum of 5 participants before we can put them on. In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund or credit.
Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Work-Shop or organised by Work-Shop must agree to these terms and conditions.

2.) PHOTO & VIDEO
I agree to give Work-Shop unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Work-Shop classes and events or on Work-Shop’s premises. (Don’t worry, we’ll only these use to show others how much of a rad time you’re having through social media, newsletters, blogs, website and general Work-Shop promo material)
