Learn to make your very own colourful ring dishes with polymer clay. Led by designer & maker, Therese Lyons of Ena & Albert, you will learn all the tips & tricks you need.
We'll make a few dishes each using two different techniques and also get creative with decorating the dishes with things like marbling, layering and making patterns. We'll look at a couple of ways to finish your dishes like varnishing & painting. The techniques are simple & fun and are only limited by your imagination.
Therese will guide you through each dish, giving you freedom to create something truly unique. She'll have examples to get you started and be there to help you if you need more inspiration.
These dishes are perfect for keeping jewellery in, knick knacks and for giving as gifts.
About Therese Lyons:
Ena & Albert maker, Therese Lyons, first got her hands on some polymer clay about 6 years ago. As a lifelong maker and textile degree graduate, she was always looking to the next medium to make colourful handmade objects with. It was love at first play with polymer clay, creating one of kind beads in different colours & shapes.
The Ena & Albert jewellery range came about in 2012 out of her initial experiments and have developed into a curated collection of uniquely colourful pieces with hand applied patterns & textures. She makes for all ages and all sizes, pieces that are the finishing touch or the centrepiece to an outfit. She's lost count at how many beads she's made but its firmly in the several hundreds of thousands now.
In 2015, she started teaching bead making classes with Work-Shop, something she was reluctant to do at first (due to nerves!), but has found its one of her very favourite things about her job now. Ena Makes DIY kits were launched in 2016 as a way to spread the joy of making even further. She is honest-to-goodness passionate about making and loves to encouage others to find a creative endeavor to suit them.
