Description

Gocco What??!!

Gocco printing originated in Japan and is a mix of traditional screen printing and pressure printing, but without the mess usually associated with screen printing. It is extremely portable and was popular with young people in the 1970s. Gocco printing is in the midst of a revival thanks to the ‘Do-It-Yourself’ philosophy and the ability to print your own images on the spot.

Jeremy gained a love of printmaking during his school-based traineeship at a screen printing press. From that point on, he has worked on developing his skill set to showcase, engage and share with others, the joys of printmaking plus sharing the love of the small Japanese print machine, Gocco.

Delivering sold out Gocco workshops from the Western Plains Cultural to Tasmania’s Makers Workshop. Staples’ passion for zines goes hand in hand with this DIY print art form.
