This lino printing class for beginners will introduce you to the magical world of printmaking! The ancient art form of relief printing began thousands of years ago and has developed to become a modern printmaking method used around the world. Lino printing is highly suited to making artworks, greeting cards, gifts and even printing on fabric.
In this class you will learn how to design, carve and print your own lino cut artwork. You will take home several small prints of your design and the skills to continue carving and printing at home.
Lucy printed her first linocut while still in high school, and she has been printing ever since. After graduating from Adelaide College of the Arts, Lucy established her own arts practice and exhibits regularly. Her work is inspired by the relationship between humans and nature, with birds and cityscapes often being featured. Lucy also teaches in schools and at Ruth Tuck Art School, where she attended herself for many years.

The Lino Printing workshop was fab. Very therapeutic and Lucy was a great teacher.
It was a fantastic night. Lucy is a very talented artist and teacher. I really enjoyed the relaxed nature of the evening and was super pleased to have something to show for it at the end. I also appreciated having the tools to continue exploring this medium
I couldn't believe what we all learned to do in just one class. I walked away with enough basic skills to keep going (plus a tool kit, which was nice). Lucy was fantastic and excellent not only at the art, but the teaching as well. I would recommend this to others for sure.
