Deodorant: it’s a must. You’ve got to spritz those pits. But the options at the supermarket are often full of nasty chemicals. Aluminium, the primary ingredient in most mainstream deodorants, has been linked to breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. Parabens, propylene glycol, phthalates and triclosan can also be found lurking in popular products, and these have been linked to a variety of health issues, including organ damage, birth defects, and cancer. Terrifying.
While there are natural alternatives, they are often irritating to the skin or completely ineffective. But never fear! Nico from Scentual Academy has a foolproof recipe to dispel that smell without endangering your health. Take control of your cleanliness with this DIY deodorant workshop, where we’ll delve into natural deodorisers like baking soda, wax and dreamy essential oils. You’ll come away with a crisp new deodorant and plenty of ideas to keep you smelling fresh without succumbing to mass-produced nasties.
You'll learn everything you need to know about making your own deodorant and leave with two batches ready to go!
