The masterclass will go for approximately 2 hours. In this time you will learn the basic history of home fragrance and body care products, in particular learning how to use natural ingredients in the making of these products. You will be provided with recipes and instructions for making soy tea light candles, soy melts and natural body butter. You will participate in making these products in groups and will be able to add your own personal touch by selecting your own fragrance combinations. At the end of the class you will be able to take home what you have made during the day. Kits will be available for purchase so that you can continue to make your favorite products at home.
The trainer begun making home fragrance and body care products in 2014, she registered her business Light & Lather and later opened a boutique shop in Wollongong. Light & Lather supplies to stores in the Illawarra and Sydney region. The trainer specializes in high quality handmade candles, soaps, diffusers, melts, body butters, bath teas, bath salts and bath bombs.
The trainer uses soy wax and beeswax in the making of candles and melts and incorporates high quality fragrance oils for beautiful safe scents. Soap is made using the traditional cold process method, using high quality vegetable oils such as coconut oil, olive oil and rice bran oil, along with essential oils for a naturally beautiful scent. Bath teas and bath salts are made using pink Himalayan and Epsom salts, both renowned for their health benefits; these products are naturally scented with premium oils. Body butter is formulated with natural ingredients including shea butter, coconut oil and essential oils. Light & Lather has a commitment to quality and natural products, which will be shared during the masterclass.
