Father's Day Workshop - Metal texturing

Description
Looking for a way to celebrate your father figure this Father's Day? Either bring them with you or come along to celebrate in this small group.
This workshop is an introductory workshop to learn the basics of texturing, shaping and assembling jewellery. It is a slow-making mindfully workshop designed for people who want to learn the craft in a small, relaxed and social setting. You can create from the inspirational images or design your own piece of jewellery or art.
We will provide everything needed to make either:
* A pair of earrings
* A Pendant (cord necklace included)
* A Wall hanging
* A Brooch
Participants will be shown what tools and techniques are available and the step-by-step process of texturing and shaping the metal, we move along as participants are ready and individual assistance is provided. The workshop is adjusted depending on what participants are making.

What you will learn
- This workshop will provide bonding time with your child while making a metal piece of art to take home. You will learn introductory techniques to silversmithing.

- Each participant will take home a metal pendant, keychain or pair of earrings.
There is a carpark out the back of the building, at
34 Princhester st.
You can enter the building from this carpark via the steps at the back of the house, which lead directly into the workshop area.

Mindfulness and meditative moments can be achieved through the process of designing, making for a purpose, texturing and finishing the piece through the therapeutic process of filing and polishing the piece.
