Wire Wrapped Jewellery 2.0

Wire Wrapped Jewellery 2.0

With Eloiza Montaña

Description

Filigree, also known as Wire Wrapped jewellery, is an ancient form of metalwork found in many historic cultures around the world. Introduced to the Spanish colonies in America over 500 years ago, the technique was an inspiration to the Latin American people who have revered precious metals for many thousands of years.

In this fun one-day workshop, resident studio artist Eloiza Montaña will guide children through the delicate process of curling, twisting and bending silver wire to create their very own wearable creations to take home.

I loved meeting new people and finding something new to do. Now I have fallen in love with jewelry making and have brought myself all the tools to make jewelry at home.
