Discover the subtle beauty of transparency in tapestry weaving in this hands-on workshop.
You'll learn how to use open sett, fine yarns, and thoughtful spacing to create lightness and layered effects within your weaving.
Through guided instruction and experimentation, students will create a small woven tapestry sample that demonstrates an understanding of transparency — exploring how structure, colour, and negative space can interact to create depth and visual intrigue.
This workshop is ideal for both weavers with some intermediate tapestry skills and experienced tapestry weavers looking to explore a new dimension in their work.
