Learning outcomes:
WEEK 1-2 SKETCHING
Self-Portraits
Learn how to draw basic face shapes, eyes, lips, and nose then put them all together and complete a self-portrait. In lesson 1 the kids will have their image taken and printed off for lesson 2 so they have an image reference. Bonus: You'll leave with your very own goodie bag filled with various art supplies to practice at home!
WEEK 3-4 WATER COLOUR
Blending Techniques
Learn how to blend watercolours properly and recreate beautiful landscapes. From choosing colour pallets, wet on wet technique and avoiding muddy messes. Students will learn about this unique style and recreate their own artworks.
WEEK 5-6 POLYMER CLAY
Back by popular demand
One of the most popular mediums to work with, all the kids love polymer clay. This beginner-friendly clay is easy to mould and gives the flexibility to create earrings, key chains and cute figurines.
WEEK 7-8 PASTELS
Vibrant & Bright
Pastels are known for their bright and opaque colours, but how do we blend them properly? Students will choose their own colour pallets and recreate the northern lights and tulips on specialised black sketching paper.
WEEK 9 EASTER
Happy Easter
The students will follow a step-by-step process to paint their own Easter bunny. They will use acrylic paint on a stretched canvas, learn new techniques and how to choose colour pallets.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Kindly complete the enrolment form before booking a slot. Our classes maintain a small size, with a maximum of 18 students per lesson.
- Payment for the entire term is required upfront, covering all art materials for each lesson and a take-home painting kit for every student.
- If your child has special needs, you are welcome to stay and assist them during the class, however, if they do not, we find children relax and are more creative if parents are not present.
- All children must be signed in/out, dropped off, and picked up by an adult. Outside food/drink is not permitted; drinking water is provided.
- Make-up class - check with our art teacher for make-up classes if your child will be away for their usual class.
- Parking - We do have small car park out the back of the studio or we recommend parking at Coles and walking up, approx. 3 min walk.

No painting experience necessary as one of our art teachers will take you step by through the design.

You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.

- A transfer can be requested 2 days before the class starts. Free of charge.

Can I Purchase Alcohol at The Sip Studio?
No, we are a BYO only venue - this includes wine, beer and bottled alcohol.
Will Food Be Provided?
You are more than welcome to BYO your own nibbles. Our table space is limited so we suggest only bringing small items. Cutlery and glassware are provided, we also have a fridge for your beverages. If you have booked a private event with us we have a dedicated space for a grazing table.
Are Children Allowed At The Sessions?
To attend the public sessions you must be 18 years of age or over, however if you book a private event minors can attend.

What's Included In The Cost Of A Session?
Everything you need is included in the cost of the session - the only thing you need to bring is your favourite alcoholic beverage! Your paint session will consist of a 40 x 50cm canvas, acrylic paints, brushes, easel, apron, glassware, water and our talented art teachers to guide you through the session.
What Time Should I Arrive For The Session?
We advise you to arrive 10 minutes early for the class so you can settle in, pour a glass and unpack your nibbles.
If I Come With A Friend Or Group Can We Sit Together?
Of course, if you book multiple seats we will make sure you are all seated together but if you have booked separately let us know beforehand (send an email or text 0411 227 159).
What If I Need To Cancel?
Public Session Tickets
All tickets are non-refundable. If you contact us via email 48 hours prior to your session we will reschedule your session or issue a studio credit. Tickets cancelled after this time forfeit the full ticket fee and will not be rescheduled however, you're welcome to pass your ticket onto someone else. This policy includes Covid related cancellations.
Public Session Tickets groups of 4 or more
Please contact us 5 days prior to receive a full studio credit or reschedule request.
Private Event
Private events are secured with a non refundable deposit. If you cancel your event you forfeit your deposit.
You may cancel/reschedule your event up to 2 weeks prior free of charge (minus the deposit), after this time a 50% fee equal to the minimum payment will be charged and the balance credited (if any) via studio credit. Events cancelled or rescheduled within 5 days of the session will be charged the full amount equal to the minimum payment.
We do not open private events to the public if you can’t make the minimum numbers or guests cancel last minute. If you book the event you are responsible for the minimum payment.
Private Event Tickets
We do not credit or refund tickets to private events. If you need to cancel you will have to make arrangements with the event organiser or pass your ticket onto someone else.
What If Our Session is Rescheduled ?
If for any reason The Sip Studio reschedules a session due to Government mandates, staff sickness or lack of attendees (we need a minimum of 4 people to run a session), you will be notified via SMS or email and offered the options to transfer your ticket to another session or a full studio credit.
Can I Leave My Canvas At The Studio?
Wollongong
Due to the limited storage space at the studio only evening classes can leave their canvas over night. Your canvas will have to be picked up the next day during one of our classes, if you don't pick them up within 4 weeks they will be recycled. Fluid art must be taken with you after the session, we give you trays to transport your canvas.

Do we take photos of the session?
Yes we do! If you do not want to be included just let the art host know on arrival.

Deposits and tickets to private events are strictly non-refundable if you cancel. We want to make sure we can cover all the necessary arrangements for your session. If something unexpected comes up, don't worry! You can always pass your ticket onto a friend.
What if our Session is Rescheduled?
If The Sip Studio needs to reschedule a session due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control—such as government mandates, severe weather, or any situation deemed unsafe—you will be notified via SMS or email. In these cases, you will have the option to transfer your ticket to another session or receive a full studio credit.
In the event that a session is cancelled due to staff illness or insufficient bookings, a refund may be provided. Refund time frame - allow up to 21 days for the funds to be cleared in your account.
Promotional Tickets
If you have booked using a promotion the free ticket or discounted ticket cannot be swapped for cash, transferred to another booking or studio credit if you cancel your booking.
Our cancellation policy aims to be flexible and fair, so you can have peace of mind when planning your paint and sip adventure. We appreciate your understanding, and we look forward to creating amazing memories together!
