Make a Heart in Art Glass especially beginners!

Make a Heart in Art Glass especially beginners!

Share the love and make a heart, we frame it too.

Description

Escape from the real world for 90 minutes and create your very own "framed design in art glass".

No experience in glass is required – this is a fun workshop for absolute beginners, this is one of our Level 1 workshops. You can make a heart or if you like you can make a different shape if you want to, a square for example, its up to you.  This heart is a great gift idea for someone you love.

   It includes:

  • everything you need to cut and create your kiln-formed design, you can make a heart or any other design that fits,
  • the box frame,
  • all the glass - there are loads of great colours to choose from
  • the kiln firings, including kiln paper
  • use of our studio equipment

After you've worked your magic your glass masterpiece will be fired in my kiln and put in a box frame all ready for you to hang on your wall when you collect it (about 14 days) after the workshop has finished.

This workshop is perfect for 3 people so bring your friends or family and share the fun.  Or if it's just you, you'll make some new friends!

You don't need to be "creative", we'll teach you what you need to know!

You'll be surprised at how clever you are at making something wonderful!

Please wear clothes that includes some kind of sleeve (not a singlet top).  Please wear closed toe shoes. (No thongs, no sandals that expose your toes.)   You need to be able to stand securely on both feet and climb one flight of stairs to the workshop.  We adhere to the Covid19 rules of the day.  If you have been unwell call me and we'll reschedule your class.  Of course, there's zero cost for rescheduling.

If you'd like to bring refreshments, alcohol or nibbles to this workshop - that'll be fine, assuming you are over 18 years of age.

No previous experience required for this workshop!  You'll be photographed during this workshop, please let me know if you don't want this to happen.

Once the class is over and the clean up is done, all you need to do is wait for an email from me showing the progress of your mini masterpiece and I'll let you know when it is ready to be picked up, its usually about 14 days after your workshop.

Your glass work will be kept here at the studio for 3 months after the workshop, it'll be donated to charity after that time.

COVID NOTICE;

We adhere to the Covid19 rules of the day.  If you have been unwell, get well first, and then we'll reschedule your workshop at a time to suit you.

PRIVATE WORKSHOPS

If you don't see a time and date that suits you here please email me and we will add a new date that suits you.   I am always happy to add other dates or create a private workshop for you and your friends, if that suits you better.   There is space here for a larger group of people to come to this workshop.   Just let me know.

Our new studio is a creative, fun, safe, friendly and stimulating environment.

I look forward to seeing you soon and introducing this amazing craft/art to you.

You’ll love this workshop!

See you soon,

jenie

I’m like a kid in a lolly shop.  I am endlessly impressed and inspired – by the work of others, by colours and textures, by everything around me, man-made and natural!

There’s so much to see, to interpret into glass!

I love it all. I love sharing it with everyone – that’s why I run workshops – it makes me happy and its my hope that some of this joy spills over to you as well.

I love my job.

You too can create graphic Mondrian-inspired bowls and platters and feminist invoking “Break The Glass Ceiling” pendants, brooches and sometimes earrings in these workshops.  You can create an artwork for your walls in the fabulous Heart Art Class.

I love the clash of sometimes crazy and sometimes controlled geometry, that can see in my Paris Elegance series with its DNA centre design element. I suspect they indulge both the conservative and bold characteristics within.

The relationship between the glass elements in each piece means no two pieces are exactly alike, much as no story is ever retold in exactly the same way, so is every piece of glass you create in a workshop. You can truly say, no-one else, anywhere, has one quite like it!  You'll also remember that giving a Gift Voucher is another uniuqe gift that expresses the value of your unique friendship.

Ultimately, I am sharing love. The love of life. Share it with me?

All the things you wanted to know about glass art but felt too fragile to ask! Jenni outlines the theory and shows how to do the hands on stuff safely and effectively. You can be creative with your own design or follow some guidelines and still be creative. And like all artistic endeavors, there are no wrong answers; just individual expression. What a great way to escape from your comfort zone!
