Learn the in's and out's of making a metallic crown, wire leaves and flowers using soft flexible wire and build using prepared components - the sky is the limit. Make a golden crown, silver or a rose-gold crown, all materials will be supplied, all you need is YOU !

We guarantee you will enjoy the hand making process, pick up  LOTS of useful tricks - you will be able to expand your knowledge of hand making hats and special trims. Discover the 'how-to' if you are a  beginner.

Julie's studio is in a converted 1851 stables building within the JamFactory Artisans studios, part of the Seppeltsfield Winery Complex in  The Barossa Valley, set in beautiful rolling hills and vineyards.

Fully trained in London with Philip Somerville, whose client list included the Queen, The Late Princess of Wales, as well as many members of Royalty, politics and stage and screen. Julie most recently made a hat for Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall as the gift from the people of South Australia. Julie Fleming was presented to both Charles and Camilla on their visit to South Australia.

Since establishing her own fashion business on her return to Australia in 1989 Julie Fleming has had a faithful following in the fashion world and a thriving private clientele for Spring Racing Hats in Melbourne. Julie is proud to say she has been on the cover of ‘Vogue Australia’ five times. Her period work currently seen in 'The Dr Blake Mysteries' ABC TV.
