Description

Parenting can bring unprecedented joy, love and wonder into our lives but at the same time it can be frustrating, challenging and draining. Disciplinary challenges can leave us feeling helpless, powerless, angry and exhausted. This two-hour session will give you a better insight into the growing child and will inspire you to parent consciously and creatively.

We will be focusing on:

  • Boundaries
  • Power of words and creative language
  • Magic of imitation
  • Positive direction
  • Importance of rhythm and routine

You will leave the workshop ready to conquer the parenting journey with lightness, fun and creative inspiration. You will reclaim your power from your child and be reminded that we are the ones directing this spectacular journey of childhood and beyond, not them!

Imagine this session as a supportive hug! Our morning will be spent problem solving and being reminded that we are not alone in the challenges of parenthood. Let’s collaborate to make our path with child and adult a kinder one instead of something we wish would pass by in a hurry.

Kin & Kind

Vendor sincce 2017

Come along to our workshops and meet-ups and learn a skill (or brush up on old ones), talk about what you love, meet new people and spend time focusing on something other than child-rearing. Our broad range of workshops and meet-ups cover everything from creative writing, gardening and crafts to career guidance and personal development. We'll make you a coffee and most importantly, childcare is offered in the same building (kids 0-6 months are welcome to join the classes).

Kin & Kind is about exciting the passion you once had but have lost in the fog of babies, kids and home, in a safe and supportive environment. We want you to leave feeling energised, with a sense of achievement that’s unrelated to the kids.

At the very least, you're 90 minutes closer to nap time.

22 August 2017 • Creative Discipline

Learnt that we (me) should aim to be more concise in our language and direction towards our children. Mirroring and imitation are good skills to try to calm a situation or break the ice of a situation. Sometimes it's just nice to sit in a room knowing you're not going mad, that your child is doing what other children are also doing and you're not alone! Becky was wonderful. Very warm and giving. Thoroughly enjoyed the talk.
