Description

Sarah Schembri is a Melbourne Ceramic Artist who is passionate about creating functional, tactile and visually appealing ceramics, particularly tableware. Being a lover of cooking and food in general, she is most interested in making pieces that are a pleasure to use in the home, pieces which are not only visually appealing but also functional & tactile.

“There is something quite special about using pieces that are handmade - the experience and food taste better. This is a feeling that I think about when I'm creating, it's part of the experience I want to share with others.” - Sarah

21 June 2019 • BEGINNER Wheel Pottery Class

Sarah is honestly such a wonderful teacher. She guides you just the right amount and lets you discover the best way to do pottery for yourself. Her style helps so many students thrive. She is also so wonderful when it comes to letting you keep your pieces and works really hard to ensure that all students get whatever pieces they'd like to keep in a timely fashion. This is unlike any other pottery studio where teaching is more structured or there are limits on how many pieces you can have per class.

20 June 2019 • Introduction to Hand Building Workshop

I thoroughly enjoyed Sarah's hand building workshop. It was a lovely, relaxed, inspiring, productive experience. I loved the pieces I made and found Sarah's advice to be spot on. Not to mention the food platter! Fantastic <3

This class was great! Highly recommend it. It was my first time attempting pottery making and I can't believe I now have a few hand made pieces. Very social and fun. Give it a go :)
