Due to popular demand, we will be running another workshop in the second week of the School Holidays!
Tap into your inner street artist with this 3-hour workshop at the infamous Blender Studios, one of Melbourne’s most iconic and influential artist studios!
Kick off the day with a brief intro to the studios, learn about the history of graffiti and street art, some street art terminology, and get a professional street art demonstration where you’ll learn a variety of spray painting techniques that can be applied to your own mural or fine art projects.
During the sketch session, you’ll create simple concept sketches that you’ll then paint onto a practice wall to help develop can control and painting skills, before moving onto a canvas panel which you’ll get to keep and take home. You’ll walk away with a personalised piece of art which you can proudly hang in your bedroom and admire for years to come!
This workshop is suitable for young people ages 10 and up, and no prior experience is necessary. For all enquiries please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

Many artists from the Blender have achieved great success in their research and practice.
There has always been a heavy research influence at the Blender. There is a lot of discussions and constructive criticism.
Over the years there has been many Blender artists working in a variety of mediums, who have achieved major critical success.
In early 2004 the Blender closed, to be opened again in 2007 in the same place. The climate of the Australian art scene had changed and as the Blender re-opened its doors it was clear that the Blender was also going to be different. We still have a strong link to street art with some of the most famous and prolific street artists calling the Blender home.
The Blender has changed now, it has become more of an art complex with 20+ studios, an artist in residence program, the Blender laneway street art project, the Melbourne Propaganda Window, Dark Horse Experiment and The Melbourne Street Tours.
