In this class I will show you how, using home kitchen equipment and a few household implements you can make your own plastic form shapes which can be used as either hat bases or trimmings themselves. The plastic comes in various colours or can be painted into or on to. Using clay as a base, I will show you how easy it can be to form a shape of your choice and then vacuum form plastic around this shape, therefore creating a lightweight, durable, wearable copy. I find this technique particularly useful when creating bold and dramatic trims without the need for any laboured edges.

Pease note: The materials kit will include what you need to make what Ian is teaching and some odd equipment that is not normal to millinery. If time permits you can make more and/or buy further supplies to take home. You will need to bring your basic millinery kit as we won't be providing this.

This course includes plastics that are not yet stcked here at Torb and Reiner. We have esimated the price of these and it may change slightly. If it is any moe we will let you know and if it is less we will credit you the difference for any supplies you may buy on the day.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact the store.
