Straps 101

Straps 101

An introduction to straps for int-adv aerialists

Description

Straps 101 is an introduction to apparatus for intermediate and above level aerialists, or other physical movers with a similar level of strength and awareness.

In this class, you will be working on foundational positions and pathways in strength, spinning, and dynamics for straps. You will also discover how these techniques can help you become stronger in your own practice with other aerial apparatus. This is an opportunity to gain insight into training straps if you've ever been curious. It's not so scary!

To participate, it is very important that you are able to do multiple inversions by yourself within a class (without jumping into it, at least a few at the start). Be comfortable with potentially being spotted and spotting others.

Bring something to cover and protect the skin on your wrists, such as a sweatband or wrist wraps. If you have your own, also bring a lighter theraband and a thick elastic resistance band.

This class is not suitable for anyone with ongoing shoulder or elbow medical issues This class with be taught be Grace Law
