Hold on to your hats Perth. This one is HUGE. Internationally renowned typographer, graphic artist and hand- lettering superstar Letterboy is coming to Perth and will be teaching two workshops while he is here, with Workshop Freo.
Drawing by hand lets us understand why and how letters are built and also to get a genuine feeling that most of the time gets lost when using computers. In this 4 hour workshop, Letterboy will cover both Calligraphy and Hand Lettering including Blackletter and Brush Script styles.
This workshop suits both beginners and people who have dabbled in calligraphy and hand-lettering in the past. Just 12 spots are available in each class, so that your enjoyment and learning will be optimised.
Lunch will be supplied and you will also take home the materials that you will use in the class, so that you can keep practising your skills at home.
About the Teacher:
Letterboy really needs no introduction in the world of graphic design and typography, but if you haven’t already heard of him, please go and check out his Instagram feed @letter_boy . View mesmerising video clips which demonstrate his meticulous attention to detail. Whether it be with pen, marker or brush – Letter-Boy is an absolute master of them all.
Originally from Sweden and now based in Tokyo, Letter-boy has produced work for well known global brands such as Ikea and Chloe, while keeping true to his skateboarding roots on collaborations with brands like Nike SB and Polar Skate Co. Workshop Freo is just so stoked to have him in town.

There is a PDF document attached to all booking confirmations with a map. Mrs Trivett Place is a sharp left just before Fleet Street. It looks more like a driveway than a road.
